The backs provided did not lock. I tried them on once, and the backs simply fell off. i managed to save both earings, and tried to find some ohter backings that would hold the earings in. Unfortuantely, this did not work, and the second time I wore them , I lost an earing. Perhaps the posts themselves were somehow wrong? I don't know.
